Our moods fluctuate over time for a variety of reasons. When we are experiencing negative emotions, or are just experiencing an absence of positive emotions, it can be difficult to know how to move through this. When our mood is lower, it is sometimes easiest to get in touch with lower energy positive emotions – contentment, tranquility, peace, and serenity. It can be helpful to focus on intentionally trying to find opportunities to comfort ourselves. One strategy is to think about how you can find comfort for each of the five senses.
